The exact amount of kids — however — remains to be seen; many reports seem to suggest he is proud papa to nine children. Though we can’t know for sure how many kids he has, he has admitted to fathering more kids than he initially admitted to Amber when they first started dating.

Though he once told Amber he didn’t know much about the show when they connected on Twitter, that was later proved to be a lie. He had previously reached out to another OG star, Farrah Abraham, as well as Teen Mom 2’s Jenelle Evans.

This appears to be the only part of Matt’s background that has some truth to it. He was previously a radio DJ in Montana and Vermont, he apparently went off the air when he mysteriously stopped showing up to work at one point (just a few months after his career began).

Matt has been weird about his tattoos — not only does he have a Twitter handle on his body (but won’t admit what the handle is), he also claimed to have the Chinese symbols for “clean” and “sober” on his forearm. Only, sneaky fans have determined that isn’t exactly the case!

One eagle-eyed redditor claimed that the mystery tats are a phonetic spelling of the name “Lisa.”

Matt’s upcoming memoir isn’t his first attempt in the literary world. He previously self-published a novel about childhood sexual assault called Guys Don't Rat on Guys, allegedly based on his own tragic experiences.
