Jennifer Lopez’s American Idol castmates had a little fun recently with her glamorous reputation, playing Frank Sinatra’s classic song “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World” while spotlighting the star. But one person didn’t seem to be loving the playful tribute — her husband, Marc Anthony.
A source tells In Touch that the 42-year-old singer isn’t a fan of his wife’s recent 10-pound weight loss and “doesn’t want her to turn into one of those super-skinny Hollywood types.” In fact, the source adds, “He wants her to gain weight.”
But it’s not just J. Lo’s leaner body that’s bothering Marc. Jennifer’s judging stint on Idol has reinvigorated her once ailing career, at precisely the time when her husband wishes that she would take care of their twins, Emme and Max, 3, fulltime — thereby ceding the spotlight to him. “Marc’s pride makes him think that he should be the bread-winner, and J. Lo feels she needs to work to support their extravagant taste,” an insider reports.
