Actress Mandy Moore and musician hubby Ryan Adams have decided to end their marriage – the decision being ‘amicable.’
The couple released a joint statement to numerous media outlets revealing their status: “It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time.”
Mandy, 30, and the former ‘Whiskeytown’ member, 40, have no children together, however, Radar Online reported Moore filed papers in Los Angeles for spousal support and cited irreconcilable differences. Ryan was in LA playing The Late Late Show with guest host Judd Apatow at the time.
Just four weeks after announcing their engagement Mandy and Ryan married in Savanna, Georgia, in March 2009. The couple ultimately met over their strong bond of music and the gift of performing, which helped launched many collaborations together over the years.
The former teen pop star and the Indie rocker worked on many tracks together including 2001 song “Empty Rooms”
The couple has not been without drama since dating, in 2008 'In Touch' reported that when Mandy first started dating Ryan she was over it - he was too immature - therefore, broke up with him that July. “She really loved Ryan but he was very immature,” a pal said.
