Several members of a family are dead and a community horrified after an apparent murder suicide was discovered when the alleged killer posted a confession on Facebook.
Randy Janzen of Chilliwack, British Columbia, posted his rambling note on his Facebook page on Friday, claiming that he killed his 19-year-old daughter Emily, his wife Laurel and his sister Shelly.

In his post, the father says that he shot his daughter after the teen spent years plagued by depression as a result of painful migraines. "I just could not see my little girl hurt for one more second," he wrote.
Then, according to his account, Randy shot and killed his wife Laurel because "a mother should never have [to] hear the news her baby has died."

His final terrible act was apparently then committed a "few days later" when Randy, convinced that he did not want his sister Shelly to “have to live with this shame,” gunned her down as well.
"Now my family is pain free and in heaven," he wrote, also claiming that he has "deep remorse" for his actions.

Several hours after the horrific confession, police found one of the victims before tracking Janzen down at another residence, where he had barricaded himself in.
Soon after, the residence went up in flames with Janzen reportedly still inside. It is not clear as of yet, who started the fire or how many people were inside.

The Facebook post has not been officially confirmed by authorities at this time, but investigators confirmed that several bodies, believed to belong to the same family, were found in two separate houses in the Chilliwack community.
Details from the inexplicable crime are still emerging.
