Macaulay Culkin Makes
Rare Appearance at New
York Comic Con Wearing
Macaulay Culkin delighted and shocked fans last weekend by making a rare public appearance at New York's Comic Con - and he has never looked better!
Just a year-and-a-half ago, worrying pictures of the child star looking gaunt sparked unsubstantiated rumors he was losing an ongoing battle with drug addiction and had only six months to live.
But on Friday, October 11, Macaulay looked healthy and happy as he donned a set of pink, furry bunny ears and oversized sunglasses to join the panel for the cartoon series Robot Chicken with stars Seth Green, Breckin Meyer and Matthew Senreich.
Keeping things casual, the 33-year-old wore jeans and a trendy dip-dyed denim jacket with a white tank top underneath. As well as sporting long hair and a full beard, Macauley's fingernails were painted a variety of colors in keeping with his hand bling, as he showed off a number of rings and colorful wristbands.
The Home Alone actor, who announced he was retiring from movies at the ripe old age of 14, looked relaxed and confident as he chatted with fans and goofed around with the rest of the panel.
Asked by an admirer where he has been all these years, he replied: "Hiding under a rock somewhere."
Robot Chicken co-creator Seth Green told the crowd: "The best thing about Mac is that he had a better career by the time he was 14 than most of us have in our whole lives.
"If he spends four years, six years not doing anything, he will still be more relevant than most people here."
Macaulay famously dated Black Swan actress Mila Kunis for eight years before the couple split in 2011 and many blamed the breakup for the star's steady decline.
The reclusive actor rarely makes headlines for the right reasons and has been plagued with heroin-addiction rumors since that shocking picture was published in February 2012.
But fans can breathe a sigh of relief as it seems Macaulay Culkin is fitter and happier than ever.
