‘Love & Hip Hop’ Star Remy Ma Shares Touching Tribute Ahead of 2017 Grammys
Remy Ma is "All the Way up!"
The Love & Hip Hop star is the only female rapper nominated for an award at the 2017 Grammys along with her pal Fat Joe — and she’s not taking the honor for granted. She shared a touching tribute to her fellow Terror Squad member ahead of the awards ceremony.
“I've known you since I was a teenager. We have been through it all from the bottom to the top back down to the bottom & now we're nominated for TWO GRAMMYS!! We are both blessed and I just wanna let u know that I wouldn't wanna be on this journey with anyone else; [we’re] the dream team!! I love you bro,” the 36-year-old wrote in a caption on Instagram.

The Bronx-based rapper is up for her first award since being released from jail in 2014 after serving six years on assault charges. She immediately jumped back into her hip-hop career and her first single — 2016’s “All the Way up” featuring Fat Joe and French Montana — quickly became a hit and earned two nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. But this isn’t the first time she’s been nominated for the prestigious award — the 2005 hit song “Lean Back” also earned her and Fat Joe a nod.
Remy’s supportive husband, Brooklyn-based rapper Papoose, congratulated her ahead of this year’s awards ceremony with his own tribute, and he expressed how grateful he is for her success.

“Considering the adversity she's been faced with in my eyes she won already,” he wrote on Instagram. “The [two] #grammys2017 nominations alone are a victory. We don't take things for granted on this side.”
