Those who follow Little Women: LA know that Briana Renee filed for divorce back in November from her husband, Matt Grundhoffer, after three years together — and she opened up during an exclusive interview with In Touch about how life has been for her post-split.

"I have been indulging most of my time into my kids. I just realized time with them is so precious, especially at a young and fragile age, that I’ve really just been indulging even more with my children," the reality star and singer — who now goes by "Renee" — said via phone. "Now I have my mom living with me to help me out, so I’m getting back to my roots, to my old childhood and innocent years through reconnecting with my mom. I’m getting out, I’m hanging out with some really amazing new friends and just redefining who I used to be, but I’m a new person I guess. I’m finding my old self with s revamped energy, if that makes sense."

The mother-of-two also added that her children are doing "so good" with the split. Briana shares a son, Maverick, with Matt and also has a daughter, Leiana, from a previous relationship. "My son couldn’t be happier. Luckily he’s young and unimpressionable at this moment, so he’s just a happy boy. He has the best family around him right now," she gushed.

"His sister, my daughter, is so smart. Honestly, I just taught her, ‘Look, a reflection on what happens in mommy’s relationship is not a reflection on you or how much I love you, and no matter what comes through life, we’ll always have each other.’ She’s just like, ‘Cool! What’s for breakfast?’ My daughter is really very observant and really okay. It was like, ‘Would you rather mommy happy and moving forward and still having the best life and the best friends?’ She goes, ‘Yep!’" We are so glad everyone is doing well!
