He’s getting candid about fatherhood! Little People, Big World star Jeremy Roloff experienced a very big life change earlier this year when he welcomed his first child — a baby girl named Ember — with his wife Audrey Roloff. But naturally, he wasn’t fully prepared to deal with all of the changes that come with becoming a first-time father, and he opened up about how his faith taught him a very important lesson about selflessness. It might be a risky thing to admit how he had been feeling ever since he became a father, but his fans’ comments proved that he wasn’t alone and it’s actually a very common thing that new parents go through. “As a [mom-of-six] I can relate! It’s been a journey of dying to self, learning to stop and smell the roses and cherish the little [precious] moments mixed in with the chaos and craziness,” one fan wrote. Another commented, “Yes! We went through the exact same adjustment with our first of three boys.”

He wasn’t the only one struggling with the changes that come with being a first-time parent. His wife Audrey also had a difficult time adjusting to becoming a new mom and it didn’t help that she came down with mastitis, which is a painful infection that is common among women who breastfeed.

“While I am overflowing with love for my daughter and husband, I won’t sugar coat it… these past two weeks have been HARD,” she admitted back in September.

But now it looks like the new parents are getting the hang of things, and they’re starting to get back to normalcy after welcoming their daughter last month. Jeremy went back to work on Roloff farms earlier this month, and Ember took her first-ever visit to her grandparents’ pumpkin patch.
