Suicide attempts, covert drug use, drunk driving and underage sex — in the years that Tony Almeida served as Lindsay Lohan’s bodyguard, he saw it all. But, in his exclusive interview with In Touch, he doesn’t blame Lindsay, who is now in a rehab center in Utah. “Lindsay was a very sweet and talented kid, but she didn’t stand a chance against her parents and the Hollywood system,” he tells In Touch. He calls her father, Michael Lohan, unpredictable and tyrannical.
Tony was in the car with Lindsay and her father one time when Michael became enraged that she wanted to stay late at a concert to meet up with friends including Sean “Diddy” Combs. “Michael slammed on the brakes and dragged her out of the car, pushed her up on the hood, screamed at her and called her a slut,” Tony recalls. “I got in the middle of it and pulled him off.”
When reached by In Touch, Michael, who has since become sober and a minister, had no recollection of the incident. “If I did do it, if that’s the worst anyone can say about me, then it’s not too bad,” he told In Touch.
