Being a Role Model

Lindsay Lohan’s next role: a tailor.
It seems LiLo made some creative alterations to the $1,750 Theia gown she borrowed for a Feb. 6 amfAR event in NYC to kick off fashion week.
The dress had been “loaned in good faith” to the star’s stylist, says a rep for the designer, but had since been MIA— until a photo of the dress in tatters hit the web on Feb. 20.
According to reports, the Canyons star, 26, took scissors to the floor-length sweeper after ripping it at a nightclub.
But we’re not surprised about the star’s irresponsible behavior after she’s spent the last several years in financial turmoil and heaps of legal trouble resulting from her multiple arrests.
The Liz and Dick actress even had her Scary Movie 5 co-star Charlie Sheen come to her rescue, covering $100,000 of her over $233,000 tax debt.
Only days ago, the troubled starlet’s lawyer came forward to announce that Lindsay has had an “epiphany” and will be seriously pursuing a future as “a role model.”
“Being re-arrested and facing going back to jail caused her to have an epiphany,” her attorney Mark Heller told E! News. “Sometimes the cumulative effect of everything in your life percolates and you have a realization and a clarity that things have to change,” he said.
So how does LiLo plan on making strides toward a brighter tomorrow?
“The things we are exploring are going to a hospital setting and working with young girls and trying to cheer them up and encourage them to have confidence that their health will improve and have hope,” her legal counsel said. “And going to schools and giving inspirational speeches and encouraging young people to make the right choices.”
Well, hopefully she’s a better role model than she is tailor!
