Legendary Actor Jack
Klugman's Son Not
Happy About Cory
Monteith Tribute at
the Emmys

Although the Emmys always features an "In Memoriam" tribute to actors, producers, directors, writers and other TV industry folks who died during the past year, one legendary actor's son is not happy with a planned change to the segment at tonight's Emmys.

The Emmys decided to extend "In Memoriam" with special extended tributes for certain stars, including Glee actor Cory Monteith, who died suddenly this year after a heroin and alcohol overdose. Adam Klugman, son of legendary The Odd Couple star Jack Klugman, told the L.A. Times he's mad that his father, who passed away in December, wasn't chosen for a special honor.

"Cory Monteith never won an Emmy," Adam said. "They're celebrating this self-inflicted tragedy instead of celebrating the life of my father, who won three Emmys."

The new extended "In Memoriam" will also be honoring actor James Gandolfini and comedian Jonathan Winters. Jack Klugman will be included in the usual "In Memoriam" video roundup, which devotes just a few seconds to each person mentioned.

"They're doing this because they think they're gonna get a younger generation of viewers to watch," Adam said of the decision, adding that he's upset with the show's producers and not with Cory - in fact, Adam's a fan of the show.

Cory's former co-star Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester on the hit FOX series, will be presenting Cory's tribute.
