Lea Michele is getting cheeky while on vacation in Mexico! The Glee star tweeted a picture of her wearing a revealing thong bikini while traveling with her best friend, Broadway star Jonathan Groff. The two met as original cast members in the Tony-winning musical Spring Awakening.
The actress captioned her photo with the hashtag #bringit2014, and it's clear that after a heartbreaking 2013 the "Cannonball" singer is ready for a better year ahead. In summer 2013, her boyfriend Cory Monteith, who played her character Rachel's on-again-off-again love on the hit Fox series, died of a drug and alcohol overdose while in a Vancouver hotel room.
Despite the devastating events, Lea insisted that the show go on and made sure that the series' cast and crew still kept getting paychecks. Glee creator Ryan Murphy and his team wrote an episode, "The Quarterback," that paid homage to Cory and his character Finn, who also died on the show. Lea sang a heartbreaking rendition of Bob Dylan's "To Make You Feel My Love" in his honor.
Now, it's clear that Lea's ready for a new year and a new start. Thanks to support from Jonathan as well as from fellow Glee stars Amber Riley and Kate Hudson, it looks like her coping network is well in place. She has an album, Louder, dropping in February, and her book Brunette Ambition is due out in May.
The upcoming sixth season of Glee will be its last, but Ryan is reportedly planning a spinoff for Lea's character.
