Lana Rae Meisner — wife of former Eagles bassist Randy Meisner — was shot and killed in her LA home. She was 63-years-old.

Law enforcement authorities told Page Six that she accidentally killed herself in what they described as a “freak accident” hours after police responded to a domestic violence incident at the couple’s home.

A detective with the LAPD explained, “There was an accidental discharge of the firearm. It was completely accidental; there is nothing indicative of a murder, homicide or suicide. It’s a weird accident, that’s all I can say. There was absolutely no struggle, just a freak accident.”

Our thoughts are with Randy and all of Lana’s loved ones at this time.
