While his family was partying on their exotic vacation in Thailand, Rob Kardashian stayed home and, for the first time, broke his silence about the difficulties he’s been facing in his personal life as he struggles to lose the weight putting his health at risk.
“No one will ever understand how much it hurts,” he wrote on April 2 in a cryptic tweet that has since been deleted.
But it turns out he has found an unlikely confidant through his struggles… sister Khloé’s estranged husband, Lamar Odom.

The former NBA player has supposedly acted as a crutch for the 27-year-old as he battles depression and fights to shed the pounds.
“Within the last few weeks, Rob has reconnected with Lamar,” a source tells RadarOnline, adding the reality star has “completely retreated from the family, and friends.”
Prior to Khloé and Lamar’s split, the entrepreneur was extremely close with his brother-in-law—and even lived with couple at one point.
Still, the break-up was hard on Rob, because “first and foremost, he hated what it did to Khloé.”
“The split essentially had ended Rob and Lamar’s relationship,” the source explains. “They called each other brother, and meant it. There was a lot of love there.”
As it turns out, Rob isn’t the only Kardashian the former Clipper keeps up with.
Upon returning to the States after an injury landed him a spot on the bench in Spain, In Touch Weekly caught up with Lamar, who confessed he wants “to make it work with Khloé” and admitted his plans to “see her soon.”

Since reconnecting, the 34-year-old asked his ex-wife for her blessing before reaching out to Rob.
“Of course, she said yes,” the source reveals. “No matter what happens with them in the future, Khloé wants her brother and Lamar to maintain their friendship.”
Hopefully, Lamar can help Rob get healthy—not only physically, but mentally.
