Lamar Odom and Khloé Kardashian may be divorced, but that doesn’t mean that the two-time NBA champ doesn’t continue to keep up with the Kardashians.
The same day it was announced he was moving to Spain to continue his professional basketball career, a new video surfaced of Lamar explaining Khloé’s family helped him make this difficult decision to move across the world.
“[Bruce Jenner] means a lot to me,” Lamar said, in an interview obtained by Access Hollywood. “Bruce is one of the reasons why I am going to do this.”
Prior to his Dec. 13 divorce from Khloé, there were multiple reports that Lamar relied on the former Olympian for a support system and that Bruce often dished out fatherly advice to the 34-year-old.
Bruce isn’t the only member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan that Lamar still keeps in touch with! He confessed that he regularly communicates with Kris Jenner.
“I left Kris a message today,” the former NBA power forward said to the camera. “I’m always texting back and forth with Bruce.”
Despite calling it quits, Lamar made it clear that he and Khloé remain on good terms.
“I always speak to Khloé,” he said with a laugh. “She’s my wife.”
This comes just over a month after In Touch spotted Lamar wearing his wedding ring at a post-Golden Globes party on Jan. 13. At the time, he told the mag, “[Khloé and I] are good. We will always be good.”
And he must have really meant it! Knowing that he has the support of his second family, we expect that his upcoming move will be a lot less stressful.
“Hopefully they’ll come visit me,” he said.
