Shortly after Lamar Odom landed in the hospital after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, it was reported that his estranged wife, Khloé Kardashian, flew his two children — 17-year-old Destiny and 12-year-old Lamar Jr. — and their mother, Liza Morales, to Las Vegas to be by his bedside.
But it appears the 31-year-old was just making good on a promise she made to her estranged husband, 35, long ago.

Back in 2012, the former NBA player opened up to People about the promise Khloé made to him to take care of his children should anything ever happen to him.
“I think two weeks [into our relationship], she said, ‘Lamar, you know what? Anything ever happens to you, I got your kids. They’re always going to be all right.’ That meant so much,” he said.

He added, “She’s a serious person and when she’s down for you, she’s down for you.”
Most recently, there were conflicting reports about Lamar’s status.

While the Kardashians remained hopeful that he was improving as he reportedly showed some signs of recovery — he allegedly fluttered his eyes and squeezed one of the Kardashian’s hands — while hospital sources say it may have been an involuntarily response, adding that the longer he remains in his current condition, the less likely it will be that he recovers.
