“Lamar’s determined, more than ever, to get healthy and to do it all on his own. He wants to show Khloé how much fight he’s got inside of him and how he doesn’t want to be a burden to her once he’s 100-percent healed,” a source tells Hollywood Life.
“He’s doing his best to walk on his own. He’s putting his best foot forward, literally, and trying to do it as best as he can without nurses helping him. It’s hard, but he’s determined. He’s also talking to Khloé and making stern promises."

The insider adds, "He promised her and himself that he’s ready to take responsibility for his life and that he will never cause her grief or pain again. Lamar’s will to live is directly related to all the love Khloé’s been showering him with. From the top and bottom of his heart, he appreciates that woman.”
Lamar, who wed the reality star in 2009, is recovering at Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA after a drug overdose that allegedly triggered multiple strokes. He is allegedly off of dialysis and no longer in need of a kidney transplant after being found unconscious at a Las Vegas brothel in October.
Khloé, who filed for divorce in 2013 after substance abuse and infidelity allegations against her man, decided to call off her divorce for the time being, though she is still currently dating James Harden, 26.
