Well, it looks like Lamar Odom has a small victory to celebrate.
Shortly after he moved out of the hospital and into a rehab facility, it’s been revealed that the former NBA player, 36, will not face drug charges relating to his near-fatal overdose back in October.

As In Touch previously reported, the Sherriff’s Office in Nye County recommended that Lamar be prosecuted for cocaine possession should the illegal substance be found in his blood following a drug test (which it allegedly was).
While it was unusual (if not unheard of) to prosecute against someone who landed in the hospital for overdosing, it was still an option — though the district attorney decided against it.
In a statement obtained by E! News, the DA said that although “evidence showed Mr. Odom had metabolized cocaine in his system while he was present in Nye County in October of 2015, he was not found in the possession of cocaine and it is unlikely it could [be] established beyond a reasonable doubt he actually ingested, or was impaired by, the drug during the time he was within the jurisdiction of Nye County.”
