Doctors are worried as Lamar Odom's recovery hits a snag.
The NBA player, who was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel last month, has been moved from his Los Angeles-based hospital's ICU, but his latest request has doctors concerned.
According to an insider, Odom has asked doctors for large amounts of pain medication, including the pain killer Oxycontin.

"Lamar was moved out of ICU earlier this week because of the progress that has been made," the source tells the Radar Online. "He is no longer on dialysis. But there are concerns because Lamar has been asking for copious amounts of pain medication, including Oxycontin."

Odom's recovery seemed to have been progressing positively. The star has been taken of dialysis and reports say he no longer needs a kidney transplant. But the latest news has upset his doctors.
"It's a dilemma for the doctors because the pain has to be treated,” the source continues. “But with Lamar’s history of substance abuse, they are trying to give him other pain medications that aren’t as powerful. However, Lamar complains that it’s not strong enough."

His estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian has also strongly objected to the newest development.
The source goes on to say that Kardashian does not approve of Odom's choice to summon his drug dealer to the hospital, and has taken a break from visiting Odom. She is “disgusted that Lamar has continued to ask for strong pain meds," the source says. "Khloe hasn’t been at the hospital this week. She is keeping her distance, but checks in with Lamar’s doctors."
While Odom continues to recover with the help of professionals, the latest revelation has caused a rift in his support group.
