Kristen Stewart is admitting to — and apologizing for — cheating on Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. The married dad of two was photographed on Tuesday caught in a shocking lip-lock with the 22-year-old Kristen, who has dated Rob, 26, for nearly four years and lived with him since September 2011.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," the actress said in a statement on Wednesday.

Kristen is the talk of Hollywood after a photographer caught her and 41-year-old Rupert making out and embracing in public during a steamy afternoon together.

Meanwhile, the notoriously private Twilight couple had just begun to warm up to life in the public eye, even attending Comic-Con together in San Diego on July 12. Kristen never acknowledged she was in love with Rob until her statement.

Rupert is married to British Vogue model and actress Liberty Ross, whom he cast as the mother to Kristen's Snow White in the film.

Right before news broke of the affair between Kristen and the director, Liberty tweeted "Wow," a possible response to discovering the news. It remains to be seen whether Rob will forgive his girlfriend — and stay with her.
