Kim Kardashian’s horrifying Paris robbery is still affecting her family.
Momager Kris Jenner got emotional when she stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres show on Monday, Feb. 20 — where she opened up about the night her daughter was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel room during Paris Fashion Week last year. The Kardashian/Jenner matriarch held back tears as she explained that fans will get to relive those scary moments with Kim on the upcoming Season 13 of the family’s E! reality TV series, Keeping up With the Kardashians.
“It was devastating,” Kris told show host Ellen DeGeneres. “When we started filming again, what was coming out of that was very therapeutic for her to just explain to us and walk us through. And now, we just started seeing some of the stuff that had come out of those days, and nobody can even get through the first five minutes without being hysterical. Like I get choked up just thinking about it and talking about it.”

Kim will bravely reveal the harrowing details of her robbery that took place in her hotel room during Paris Fashion Week during the second episode of the upcoming season. Kim was alone in her hotel room when a group of masked robbers broke in, bound and gagged her, and stole $10 million worth of jewelry. She begged for her life as she thought she would be raped and killed during the robbery.

Her mom said she hopes that by her telling her story, it would help bring awareness to the situation because it changed the way the Kardashian/Jenners live their lives. But it’s also hard for Kris as a mom to relive her daughter’s terrifying ordeal.
“I was watching it and I was bawling when I saw it — I couldn’t even watch the whole thing. It was such an upsetting time, and something so awful happened to somebody that you love so much,” Kris said, choking back tears. “And it just like — it chokes me up every time I think about it.”
