Kim Zolciak Reveals She Still Suffers Symptoms From Her Stroke

She can’t help but wonder. Kim Zolciak opens up about her 2015 stroke in a preview for the Wednesday, Aug. 9, episode of E’s Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry — and expresses concern that she might suffer another health scare in the future.

After Tyler tells Kim, 39, that he is “seeing a susceptibility to what looks like blood clots,” the “Tardy for the Party” singer tells him that she “had a stroke Sept. 23, 2015, from a blood clot” during a flight from LA to Atlanta.

“I went down to hug my son as soon as I pulled into my driveway, and then my hand started to go numb, but it was numb times a gazillion.” Kim recalls in the sneak peek. “Not the normal shake it off. Then I couldn’t speak and I was trying to, and it was so scary.”

In a confessional, the mom-of-six — who shares Brielle, 20, Ariana, 15, KJ, 5, Kash, 4, and 3-year-old twins Kane and Kaia with husband Kroy Biermann — admitted that she often thinks about the possibility of having another stroke.

“The stroke was life-changing — literally. I never thought at 37 I would have a stroke, and in front of my children nonetheless,” Kim explains. “I’ve pretty much fully recovered, but I can’t say that I don’t think, ‘Could this happen again?’”

Last month, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star got candid on social media about her stroke. She shared a post her daughter Brielle sent her titled “Stroke Identification,” and revealed that she still suffers from symptoms. “I have almost fully recovered (sometimes my tongue slips when I speak,” she wrote. “And sometimes I have the word on the tip of my tongue but it just doesn’t come out) but I feel great!!” Check out the video below to learn more.

Her followers were clearly incredibly receptive and supportive of her experiences. One wrote, “Thank you for sharing about recognizing a stroke Kim! I had a TIA last month and thankfully I called 911 immediately and doing quite well.” While another added, “Omg. I had a stroke 9 weeks ago… I am 35… Four weeks after my fifth baby!!! I am so thankful to be here and I can relate to everything you’re saying!!!”
