Kanye West may have had beef with President Obama in the past, but that didn’t stop Kim Kardashian from allegedly attempting to meet him at the USC Shoah Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Gala held in Los Angeles on Wednesday, May 7.
So what did keep the 33-year-old from rubbing shoulders with the POTUS? Just the US Secret Service.
According to a new report, the reality TV star was banned from meeting the President, who was the guest of honor at the ritzy event hosted by Steven Spielberg.
“Kim’s table wasn’t close to President Obama’s,” a source explains. But that didn’t stop her from “[enlisting] one of her minions to scout out the opportunity to meet him,” the source said, adding that Obama's table was, understandably, "swarming" with Secret Service.
“Kim was let down and disappointed,” the source told Radar.
“She didn’t understand why she just couldn’t say hello to him. Ever since landing the Vogue cover, her ego is even more out of control. In her mind, she and Kanye are more popular than the President and the First Lady!”
However, a rep for Kim rubbished the claims the reality star tried to meet the POTUS, telling the Daily Mail, "She never asked for 'access'. I was with her. The story is nonsense."
