Looks like you were too little, too late Tay Tay! Last night, Taylor Swift released the video for “Look What You Made Me Do” — essentially her dis track aimed at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Which would be dramatic and exciting… You know, if Kim and Kanye actually cared.

Sources close to the famous couple tell TMZ that they believe their “feud” ended a year ago — and aren’t interested in Tay’s retaliation, no matter how many slights she may have hidden in her music video or insults she may have hurled KimYe’s way. Apparent, Kanye is too busy feuding with JAY-Z — someone he actually cares about — to go at it with Taylor Swift.

For those of you who have perhaps been living under a rock for the past year-and-a-half or so, here’s the deal with their feud. It all really goes back to when Kanye swarmed the stage at the 2009 VMAs (something we’ve all been desperately trying to forget). The two carried on their separate ways for years — Kanye admitted he regretted it, Taylor hid a few references to the incident in her song — and it was pretty much irrelevant for years, save for a few poorly executed “I’mma let you finish” jokes. The two famously buried the hatchet at the 2015 VMAs, where Tay present Kanye with the Video Vanguard Award.

They managed to pretend to be friends, until Kanye released his latest album, The Life of Pablo, which included the track “Famous.” On the song, Ye infamously croons that he feels like he and Taylor “may still have sex” because he “made that bitch famous.” Kanye insisted that he had Tay’s consent for the lyric, but she denied it — even going so far as to make a dig at Kanye when she accepted the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2016.

Kanye still stuck by his story — that he had Taylor’s permission for the lyric — and Tay’s team stuck by hers. Eventually, Kim released footage of a phone call between Kanye and Tay, during which the 26-year-old seems excited about the song, and gushes about the “respect” she has for her “friend” Kanye. Hours later, Taylor infamously responded that she would like to be “excluded from the narrative,” and weakly hid behind that argument that she did not know, nor did she give permission, to be called “that bitch” in the song.

For Kim and Kanye — that’s where the story ends, back in July 2016. For Taylor, however, this feud is very much still raging on. She took a few cheap shots at Kanye in the song, and in the video, she even goes so far as to claim that Kim “edited” the “receipts.”

Normally, we’d be sitting patiently for Kim and Kanye’s comeback — but we applaud them for taking the high road on this one. Plus, there’s literally nothing they can do that will embarrass Tay more than she embarrassed herself with that crazy video…
