Cher. Madonna. Rihanna. Kendall..?
Kendall Jenner is attempting to join the greats who have successfully gone by one name, by dropping her famous father’s moniker from her modeling comp card.
This decision shouldn’t come as a surprise.
In July, an insider told In Touch Weekly the 18-year-old “doesn’t want to be associated” with her famous family. Shortly thereafter, she told Love Magazine she felt the Kardashian brand was disadvantageous to her modeling career.
“I was like, ‘You know what? I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously’ … People think that [success] just came to me. But it didn’t,” she said.
“What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model. Because of the show.”
We have a feeling her parents won’t be too pleased with her abandoning the family name—especially if it means missed opportunities to expand the empire.
The source told In Touch Weekly Kris will do “whatever it takes to keep her part of the Kardashian clan.”
“Kris stands to make a ton of money off Kendall being the next Kim,” the insider revealed.
