Former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland insists she’s not green with envy! Kelly sits down with this week’s In Touch to clear the air surrounding jealousy rumors with ex-band mate Beyoncé, breaking down the lyrics behind her new album that has fueled the dramatic rumors – and even dishes on a possible Destiny's Child reunion with her “sisters.” When co-writing the single “Dirty Laundry” for her fourth solo album, Talk a Good Game, Kelly knew fans would mine the song for clues about her life. So she wasn’t exactly shocked when many took lyrics like “While my sister was on stage, killing it/I was enraged, feelin’ it,” as an admission of jealousy toward Beyoncé. But now Kelly sets the record straight to In Touch, insisiting, “I’m not saying I’m jealous of her by any means!” explaining the song is about “personal battles” and not her childhood friend. “It’s so sad that people always go straight to that place [of jealousy]. It’s ridiculous. It’s basically about me going through some struggles in my life while she was doing her thing.” Kelly says she’s so artistically open with good friend Bey, she let her listen to “Dirty Laundry” before it was released. “She’s incredibly supportive,” Kelly gushes of Beyoncé’s feedback. “She was proud of me and thought the song was incredible.” In fact, the ladies have so much love for each other, Kelly says she’s entertaining the idea of a group reunion after the positive buzz generated from this year’s Super Bowl performance. “If the ladies want to do it,” she explains to In Touch of a Destiny’s Child reunion, “I’d totally be excited. It’d be beautiful!” For more on Kelly, pick up this week’s issue of In Touch, on newsstands now!
