Katy Perry was raised by pastors, yet she still can’t practice what she preaches!
The “Roar” singer did an interview with NPR earlier today, Oct. 29, and spoke out against the trend of revealing clothes that she sees emerging with fellow female pop stars—even though she’s been known to rock a skimpy or scandalous outfit herself!
“It’s such a strange world,” Katy explained, in response to whether or not she was an inspiration to her fans. “Like females in pop—everybody’s getting naked. I mean, I’ve been naked before but I don’t feel like I have to always get naked to be noticed. But it’s interesting to see.”
When asked who she was talking about, Katy claimed it wasn’t about anyone in particular.
“I’m talking about all of them. I mean, it’s a life everybody’s so naked,” she continued. “It’s like put it away. We know you’ve got it. I got it too.”
Hmm, sounds to us like she may be talking about one Miley Cyrus!
This comes shortly after Miley told Cosmo that Katy was a member of “Team Miley” and had been “so cool.”
“For Katy to say that she appreciates what I’m really doing for the pop industry, that keeps you going,” Miley said.
However, to NPR, Katy tried to make it clear she wasn’t being judgmental.
“I just saying sometimes it’s nice to play that card but also it’s nice to play other cards,” Katy said. “And I know I have that sexy card in my deck but I don’t always have to use it.”
