Long before celebrity roasts went mainstream, Kathy Griffin was blazing a trail as the queen of insulting A-list stars.
In this week’s issue of In Touch, Kathy opens up about her take on comedy and certain celebrities that she does regret offending.

“I don’t feel like I’ve done my job unless someone storms out of my show,” the fearless 55-year-old actress-comic explains. “I think it’s important to offend certain people. Some comics, like Jerry Seinfeld and Ellen DeGeneres, never offend anyone, and that’s great. But I think it’s key.”
There are exceptions, says Kathy. There are times when she has made a joke about a celebrity and felt bad afterwards.

“Especially when I get to know them,” she admits. “I’ve become friends with Renée Zellweger, and I made a heinous joke about her once. But now we’re texting buddies.”
