There’s no doubt that Kathy Griffin is the Queen of Comedy – and her record-breaking number of comedy specials is a testament to that.
For her 16th special on Bravo, the former My Life on The D-List star has named her act “Calm Down Gurrl.” The one-hour comedy act will air Tuesday, June 4 at 10:30 PM ET/PT.
"Why did I name my sixteenth stand up special 'Calm Down Gurrl?’ Have you seen Amanda Bynes’ latest selfie? Oh and GURRL is not gender specific. I would also apply that wisdom to both Lindsey Graham and Lindsay Lohan,” explained Griffin.
Filmed before a live audience at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, CA, the Emmy Award winning comedian shares her views on pop culture’s most talked about stars. From Justin Bieber to Justin Timberlake, Kathy shows no mercy when sharing her opinion.
“The Biebs is very thug. I don’t know if you know this, but it’s one thing that I will always be amused by…I have to laugh at Whitey. Sometimes you have to laugh at Whitey,” Kathy jokes, referring to the “Baby” singer.
In addition to her hilarious views of Hollywood, Kathy stays true to herself by recounting an awkward celeb run-in with music legend, Barbra Streisand while attending Jane Fonda’s birthday party.
It’s definitely one hour of laughs you won’t want to miss!
