Television host Kathie Lee Gifford revealed on the 'Today' show Tuesday, Dec. 16, that longtime pal Bill Cosby once tried to kiss her way back in the ‘70’s.
"I, along with so many Americans and people around the world, don't want these [accusations] to be true," the 61-year-old host said this morning. "I will admit towards the very, very end of the last time I saw him, he did try to kiss me."
Kathie Lee added, “I said, ‘No, Bill, no we’re friends,’ and he said, ‘OK, good night,’ and I said, ‘Good night,’ and I went into my room, and he went into his room.”
The host’s claims come in the wake of yet another woman who has come forward stating the once dubbed “America’s dad” drugged and assaulted her in the Playboy Mansion just six years ago.

“I’m not saying the women’s allegations are not true,” Kathie Lee continued to say this morning. “From my own personal experience, it didn’t happen.”
Back in the '70s the, 'Today' co-host and her backup singers opened up for Cosby on a comedy tour in which Kathie Lee remembers the comedian would brew them cappuccino drinks. This now gives her a “chill” based on recent claims by supermodel Beverly Johnson that this was the drink he chose to drug her with.
"I do know that I got a chill [reading Johnson's story], because every night when we'd come off stage and Bill would be going on-stage, he would have made cappuccinos for all three of us," Kathie Lee said. "And I always thought it was such a kindness and it was so sweet, and now you see Beverly Johnson saying that he made her a cappuccino, and I just don't want it to be true, but I'm not saying that the women are liars."
So far, more than 20 women have come forward, claiming they were sexually assaulted by 'The Cosby Show' star.
On Monday, the actor's wife, Camille, broke her silence and defended her husband of more than 50 years.
