Kate Middleton Joins
Prince William on the
Red Carpet in First
Kate Middleton sure knows how to deliver!
Less than two months after giving birth to the littlest royal, Prince George, Kate made her first red carpet appearance alongside husband Prince William—and she looked great!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appeared at the Tusk Awards, where they were honored for their contributions to the conservation of Africa.
The announcement comes hours after it was revealed that Prince William would retire from the Royal Air Force, instead pursuing his charitable work.
“The duke will work closely over the next 12 months with the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. “He will expand his work in the field of conservation, particularly in respect of endangered species.”
At the end of his seven-year military career comes a move for Will and Kate; the pair is trading Anglesey for London, and they are relocating to “refurbished apartment in Kensington Palace.”
Anglesey, which the Duke and Duchess called home while he served, was also the place of Kate’s surprise first appearance last month.
While William may have been there to accept an award, he shared with the crowed his apprehension about leaving his real prized possession at home.
“Catherine and I have recently become proud parents of a baby who has a voice to match any lion's roar,” he said. “This is our first evening out without him ... please excuse us if you see us nervously casting surreptitious glances at mobiles.”
