Controversial mother-of-eight Kate Gosselin took to Instagram to share an award she received for being “the best mom in the world.” The Kate Plus 8 star has been in the spotlight for more than a decade at this point, and needless to say, her parenting skills have been heavily scrutinized over the years. Life & Style previously revealed that there have been some abuse claims against Kate. Her ex-mother-in-law, aka Jon Gosselin’s mom, opened up to the mag in September, alleging that Kate has mistreated her children. She painted a picture of her grandchildren living in fear of their mother.

“If these kids spill something, they freak out and panic and cry as if we will hurt them,” she explained. In August, tensions reached an all-time high when one of Kate’s sextuplets refused to get out of dad Jon’s car. But in court, the judge took the mom’s side.

“The judge claimed Jon had manipulated Hannah so she wouldn’t want to see Kate, [then] ended Jon’s 50-50 custody of her and separated Hannah from him for 30 days,” an insider said. “Also, now Jon will no longer see the other children except for a couple of hours on Sundays in a park.” Well, we hope things have settled down since this whole debacle.
