It may have taken five weeks (and the defeat of some contestants who could actually dance) but the judges finally spoke loud enough for viewers to hear on last night's Dancing With the Stars results show, when TV's most notorious mom, Kate Gosselin, and her partner, Tony Dovolani, were sent home.
After delivering some of the show's most "memorable" dances, Kate actually did show some improvement in week four with her tango. But she seemed to back-slide in Monday night's fox-trot. "It was like you were catatonic," exclaimed judge Bruno Tonioli in his critique.
Both Kate and Tony were advised they were in the bottom two early on in the show, but had to wait until the bitter end to hear that Pamela Anderson and partner Damian Whitewood were joining them under the red light. Finally, the bad news was delivered. "I need a minute," tearful Kate told host Tom Bergeron. "This has been one of the toughest things I have ever done. I am just honored to have been here."
While Kate composed herself backstage, partner Tony grinned amidst his disappointment. It seems viewers won't be the only ones missing Kate's weekly attempts to dance. "Kate was a fighter," Niecy Nash told In Touch after the show.
At least now the busy mom can concentrate on her eight kids — when she's not worried about that pending custody battle with ex-husband Jon or leaving home again to start work on her latest TLC show Twist of Kate, in which she’ll roam the country helping other needy families. So much for stress relief! See this week's issue of In Touch to read more about how Kate’s misery is just getting worse.
