Kanye West has spoken.
Shortly after Taylor Swift seemingly put him in his place at the Grammy Awards— shouting out to people who “try to undercut your success and take credit for your accomplishments or your fame” — the father-of-two, 38, apparently responded to the 26-year-old’s shade on Twitter.

“For the past [three] years people who knew about the debt tried to use it against me in negotiations… Money doesn’t make me who I am… This country was built off of dreamers… Never give up on your dreams, bro…” he tweeted. “My dreams brought me into debt and I’m close to seeing the light of day… I don’t have to be cool… I’m an artist… The definition of art — or at least my definition — is to be able to see the truth and then express it… For anybody listening to Pablo now, working on a dream, I hope these words and this moment of truth can serve as some extra motivation to you… Pablo is full of joy and love because I was able to create… MSG was amazing, so many people were inspired and that’s all I wanted… All positive energy.”

While Taylor didn’t mention Kanye by name during her acceptance speech for Album of the Year, it was pretty obvious she was addressing the “New Slaves” rapper and his controversial song “Famous,” which declares, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous.”

“I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” Tay said when she took the stage.
“But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday, when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”
