Kanye West is almost back on his feet after being hospitalized for a mental breakdown.
One of his collaborators Malik Yusef claims the rapper actually suffered memory loss from the ordeal — which was allegedly triggered by the death of his mother, Donda West.
"His memory is coming back, which is super good. He’s healing,” Malik told Popsugar. “He’s spending time with his family. [His one-year-old son] Saint is big and he’s walking and playing with toys, so that invigorates him.”

We're sure his wife, Kim Kardashian, and their three-year-old daughter, North, are equally as helpful in his recovery process.
In Touch reported back in November that Kanye would be hospitalized after canceling his tour. His personal doctor, Dr. Michael Farzam, made the call to 911 — who suggested he keep an eye on the rapper and "don’t let him get any weapons or anything like that."

LA psychologist Julie Armstrong, who doesn’t treat Kanye, exclusively revealed that his symptoms fit the description for schizoaffective disorder.

“He is not sleeping and he’s also got this luminosity— he’s saying ‘I am Jesus.’ A manic schizophrenic, a manic psychotic person has a religious delusion or delusion of persecution, and that’s exactly what he is exhibiting,” she explained. “Mania often comes with an irritable mood, a provocative mood, and that’s all very indicative of a bipolar disorder.”

The fashion designer also submitted to blood tests and drug tests, in addition to being under "constant watch" by the hospital staff. As previously stated, Kanye's breakdown was allegedly triggered because he never properly coped with losing his mother back in 2007.
Today, he appears to be doing better and will host his Yeezy season 5 show during New York Fashion Week.
