Lea Michele’s debut album, Louder doesn’t come out until Feb. 28, but today, Feb. 11, she released another track—and it’s sure to make you feel all sorts of emotions.
The song, called “You’re Mine,” is about Lea’s late boyfriend, Cory Monteith and features powerful, emotionally charged lyrics such as “You’re mine, for life, and I’ll be by your side/We are entwined, you’re mine, for life/hold me until we die, I’m yours and you are mine/I’m yours, you’re mine, I’m yours, you’re mine.”

In November, Lea opened up to Elle about the song and her relationship with Cory.
“It makes me so happy, this song,” she gushed. “It makes me think so much of Cory. It was ours. When I think of him, I play this.”
“You’re Mine” was already on the track when Cory unexpectedly died of a mixed drug toxicity after overdosing on heroin and alcohol this past July. Lea has since added two additional songs to Louder in Cory’s honor.
“If You Say So”—which were his last words to Lea—and “Cannonball” were both added to her album in Cory’s honor.

While Cory won’t be able to listen to these new songs, Lea is confident that he would be a fan of Louder.
“He was like my biggest fan and critic and he loved every single song,” she gushed to Elvis Duran in December. “He would give me all his notes and I took every one into consideration.”
