As In Touch reported yesterday, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice were indicted in New Jersey yesterday on charges of bank fraud and conspiracy - charges which could land them in prison for the rest of their lives if they get convicted!
Now, the judge in charge of the case, US Magistrate Waldor of Newark, NJ, has handed down rules to make sure Teresa and Joe show up the next time they're due in court. Both husband and wife had to turn over their passports, and they've been ordered not to leave the New York/New Jersey area.
But that's not all. A source tells In Touch that Joe, who was born in Italy, is not an American citizen and that, if convicted of a crime, "he can be deported."
Both the Skinny Italian author and her husband had $500,000 bonds that were paid by Joe's dad, Frank Giudice. Frank and his wife, Filomena Giudice, were both in court to support their son and daughter-in-law. When asked for comment on the case, Filomena told In Touch to "worry about yourself!"
Mom-of-four Teresa has a reputation for standing by her man. Although cheating and divorce rumors have swirled around the couple in the past, Teresa denies any chance of a split. "Everything's great," she told In Touch. "I'm not a fake person, so if we weren't together than I wouldn't be with him right now."
