Where are you, Josh Duggar?! It’s been a little more than two years since the oldest of the Duggar family retreated from the spotlight following news that he molested his younger sisters when they were underage, and he cheated on his wife, Anna. But since completing rehab more than a year ago, the eldest of the reality TV family, 29, has been slowly but surely returning to the limelight at a slew of family events. So it was surprising to see that he was seemingly not included in the celebrations for his oldest child, Mackynzie’s, birthday over the weekend. Check out the video below to see pics from the party!

Shortly after In Touch exclusively revealed that Josh confessed to forcibly fondling his sisters when he and his siblings were underage, TLC opted to cancel the family’s show, 19 Kids and Counting. His sisters later returned to the small screen with a spin-off of their own, called Counting On, and In Touch previously revealed that the network was toying with the idea of bringing Josh onto the cast. An insider told In Touch that family patriarch Jim Bob Duggar concocted a plan that revived not only Josh’s career, but also Counting On’s declining ratings.

“He spent a month trying to convince TLC that Josh should be back on the show. They finally caved and agreed to let him film an upcoming Counting On webisode where he’ll talk about his joy at learning he’s going to be a father again,” a source told In Touch in August, just weeks before he and his wife Anna welcomed baby No. 5. If the webisode is well-received, “He’ll appear on the next season of Counting On.”

So far, Josh has not been regularly seen on the family’s reality show, so we have to assume the web episode didn’t perform up to par. Furthermore, his noticeable absence from his family’s event is not a promising sign…
