It’s a boy! Last month, Joseph Duggar and his wife Kendra Caldwell announced that they were expecting their first child together, just three months after they tied the knot. Joe and Kendra star on their family’s hit reality TLC series Counting On and the adorable couple made their big gender reveal in an announcement on the network’s website.

Joe and Kendra were joined by their family and friends at the gender reveal, and Joe’s brother John David Duggar was the only one who knew the gender of the baby, according to TLC. Using a trendy smoke bomb with blue colored smoke, the couple found out that they were having a son and they couldn’t help but gush in a statement posted to the Duggar family‘s official website.

“Wow! We are so happy to learn that our firstborn is a boy! Our minds are already racing toward all the future memories to be made with this little guy! Most of all, we are already asking God to bless him and help us grow him into a loving and faithful follower of Christ!” Joe and Kendra said in their joint statement.

Of course, Joe’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are completely thrilled at the fact that they will be welcoming another grandbaby into the growing Duggar family, and they also expressed their excitement in their joint statement. “We are so excited for Joe and Kendra! We know they will be great parents and this little one will be such a blessing! We are thankful for all of our precious grandchildren!!” they said.

This isn’t the only grandchild that Jim Bob and Michelle will be welcoming in 2018! Their daughter Jinger Duggar is also pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband Jeremy Vuolo, and their daughter Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband Austin Forsyth.
