For the past eight years, the public has watched along as Jon and Kate Gosselin have butted heads and battled over custody both in and out of the courthouse. And while the two share eight kids together — 16-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 13-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah — there’s only one kid that’s caught in the middle of them at the moment: Hannah.

Hannah has long had a close relationship with her father, which has made the custody battle all the more complicated for her. And now, in an exclusive interview with In Touch, Jon’s mother tells the magazine about how Kate singles out Hannah for her close relationship with Jon. Hannah has long been close with her father, and at one point, Kate even accused Jon of having an “innapropriate relationship” with her. In a police report obtained by In Touch, Kate claimed that her ex-husband “kidnapped” Hannah by picking her up from school without warning. Additionally, she told police “that she detects suspicious behavior between Jonathan and their [then] 10-year-old daughter.”

While Jon didn’t find out about the accusations until years later, the claims obviously upset him. An insider told In Touch at the time, “Jon had no idea at the time that she accused him of having an innapropriate relationship with Hannah. He was upset when he found out.”
