Johnny Depp Rocks Out
With Kesha On Petty
Fest West Stage
Perhaps Jameson had something to do with this interesting collaboration?
Fans at last night’s Petty Fest West— a Tom Petty tribute event sponsored by the famous Irish Whiskey— got a hell of a treat when actor Johnny Depp took the stage with Kesha for an impromptu performance.
With guitar in tow, the Dark Shadows star joined the pop sensation and some friends to rock out to Petty’s famous pot-smoking anthem "Mary Jane's Last Dance." According to an eyewitness, the star played for about thirty minutes, also strumming along to Tom's classic “American Girl,” with Kesha on vocals.
While tons of celebs attended the LA event, including Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, Nick Valensi and Fabrizio Moretti of The Strokes, Justin Bartha, Bijou Phillips and more, there was one famous face who had no problem hiding her excitement— actress Sarah Silverman.
According to our insider, the comedienne hopped on stage and danced like no one was watching.
“She was dancing ridiculous doing the party boy to people, and she even hit her face on the mic by accident,” our eyewitness says. “[Sarah] seemed like a drunk mess, but maybe she was just being silly.
But Johnny didn’t only leave an impression on pumped-up Sarah. Kesha was equally as starstruck to sing alongside the big screen legend.
"Just got off stage w/ Johnny depp and patrick carney," Kesha tweeted after her performance. "Wet dream? nope. REALMUTHAFU*KIN LIFE. #PettyFest.
