Just days after Jenna Fischer gave fans of The Office major #RelationshipGoals by saying that she and John Krasinski had “real chemistry” — adding that they were “genuinely in love” — her on-screen other half is setting the record straight!
The famous mom, 41, originally told a Watch What Happens Live viewer, “There’s like a real part of me that is Pam and a real part of him that’s Jim and those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another.”

Now the handsome actor, 36, explains why he thinks it was “taken out of context” — while gushing about the role!

“I’m sure she was trying to say something nice about how genuine the acting relationship was, of bringing a relationship that became that popular onscreen — and I think we both feel it’s such an honor to be a part of that relationship,” he tells The Daily Beast.
While we can’t say we’re surprised — John and wife Emily Blunt are pretty much soul mates, as are Jenna and her husband, Lee Kirk — there is good news: Jim and Pam were (and are!) “genuinely in love” because, well, they’re fictional characters… Madly-in-love, perfect-for-each-other fictional characters!
