John Cena might be a tough WWE superstar on screen, but it turns out the actor has a much softer side.
During his promotional tour for his new flick Trainwreck, which also stars Amy Schumer, the 38-year-old showed off an unexpected side of himself when he shared a heartfelt story celebrating his mother, Carol.

As part of Entertainment Weekly's "Greatest Story Ever Told" video series, John tears up as he recalls his childhood, growing up with his mother and brothers.
The emotional video — created to celebrate his mom's 65th birthday — explains the sacrifices she had to make while raising her family.

It isn't until the very end that he reveals the woman he's talking about — his mother: "That lady is my mom. She is the best person in the world. I love her dearly and I am so glad to be able to give her back the community that she tried so very hard to build many years ago."
