Eccentric actor Joaquin Phoenix announced last week that he was giving up his acting career to focus on making movies, and at Saturday’s American Film Institute festival, he elaborated on his decision. “I think it’s just moving on. It’s rediscovering something else,” Joaquin told the Associated Press Television News. “It’s like greener pastures, you know what I mean? And so, I’m just going to try and like, I’ll just be doing the other thing ... Hopefully, I will emotionally impact you with that as well.” Joaquin’s official last movie is Two Lovers, co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow.
