Aww. Jinger Duggar recently took to Instagram to let fans know that she really misses her famous family. The Counting On star, 23, revealed that she got to catch up with her loved ones at a friend’s wedding — but admitted that she wishes she could catch up in person more often. See what she had to say in the video below!
As fans are well aware, Jinger lives in Texas with her husband, Jeremy Vuolo — very far away from her family’s home in Arkansas. Despite the Duggars’ tight family bond, Jim Bob, Michelle, and the rest of the gang are reportedly happy to see Jinger and Jeremy, 30, break free. “They aren’t attacking their family’s belief system,” a source told Radar Online. “The family doesn’t mind at all. They are thrilled to see them push out on their own.”
Jinger’s move to Texas isn’t the only way she has separated herself from her very conservative family. Not only do fans think she might be on birth control (a huge no-no in the Duggars’ Christian faith), but the TLC personality often breaks the Counting On clan’s strict dress code — by wearing pants and heels!
Though she has said buh-bye to her fam’s modest attire, Jinger previously explained why the Duggar women tend to keep their bodies covered up. “We do not dress modestly because we are ashamed of the body God has given us; quite the contrary. We realize that our body is a special gift from God and that He intends for it to be shared only with our future husband,” Jinger wrote in the book, Growing Up Duggar, which she co-authored with her sisters. “We avoid low-cut, cleavage-showing, gaping, or bare-shouldered tops; and when needed, we were an undershirt. We try to make it a habit to always cover the top of our shirt with our hand when we bend over. We don’t want to play the peek-a-boo game with our neckline.”
