Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Receive a Surprise Baby Shower — See the Pics
Just a day before they officially announced that they're expecting a girl, Jinger Duggar and husband Jeremy Vuolo were thrown the sweetest surprise baby shower in honor of their little one. The two took to social media to share snippets from the special day, so check out the video above to see the adorable photos from the celebration!
"My dear friends Juan & Margarita surprised me with a celebration last night for our little girl," Jinger wrote in her caption on Instagram. "We felt so honored, cared for, and loved by our friends and family!" The parents-to-be also wrote a short blog post about the occasion, thanking their friends for organizing it. "The shower was an amazing time of celebrating our new arrival with loved ones. Our friends, Juan and Margarita, were so generous to organize and host the shower and we were overwhelmed by the kindness and thoughtful generosity of everyone," it read.
On Monday, April 9, the Counting On stars revealed that they're expecting a daughter — which will break the streak of six straight Duggar grandsons! "We are so happy to announce that we are having a BABY GIRL! We could not be more excited and are eagerly anticipating meeting our little lady this summer," Jeremy and Jinger wrote on their blog. "We especially love thinking forward and realizing that she will have excellent role models in both of her grandmothers, who cannot wait to shower her with love."
They announced that they were pregnant with their first child back in January, after over a year of marriage. "The past 14 months have been the best of our lives as we have had the wonderful privilege of beginning our journey through life together in marriage," they gushed to Us Weekly at the time. "We both looked forward to the joys of marriage but neither one of us fully understood just how amazing the start of this journey would be. Truly, the Lord's mercies are new every morning! Now, the journey has taken an exciting turn: We are expecting our first child!"
