How chic! As Counting On fans likely know, Jinger Duggar first met her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, through her sister Jessa and brother-in-law Ben Seewald. And now, Jessa is sharing how she knew Jer would be the perfect guy for her younger sister as soon as she met him!
“Once we started talking, I thought, ‘Okay, I really need to stay in touch with this guy somehow,” Ben said of their first meeting. Jeremy added, “We clicked. You know, there’s some people you meet in life and you get along with them right away. That’s how it was me with me and Ben especially. So we started keeping in touch.”
But for Jessa, it was something particular about her now-brother-in-law that caught her eye — his wardrobe! “I remember what you were wearing that night because Jinger told me that she loved this certain kind of sweater, and you were you were wearing that sweater. And so I thought, ‘Oh, Jinger would really like this guy’s style,’” Jessa shared. Jeremy couldn’t help but laugh about his sister-in-law’s observation, joking about the “little details.”
Of course, fashion has become a key part of Jinger and Jeremy’s relationship. In their book, Growing Up Duggar, Jessa, Jinger, and their sister Jana and Jill explained why they were interested in dressing more conservatively. “We do not dress modestly because we are ashamed of the body God has given us; quite the contrary,” they explained. “We realize that our body is a special gift from God and that He intends for it to be shared only with our future husband.”
