When Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar released a statement about son Josh’s molestation scandal, they said they had “tried to teach him right from wrong.”
But in the bombshell police report — obtained by In Touch Weekly through a Freedom of Information Act request — it’s revealed that at one point, the 19 Kids and Counting patriarch, 49, stopped cooperating with authorities working the investigation.

In the report, Michelle is caught contradicting her husband’s claims that they got Josh counseling — and now, In Touch Weekly can reveal that at one point, the father-of-19 refused to turn someone — presumably Josh — in to be interviewed.

“Det. Hignite handed Mrs. Duggar a business card and asked her to give it to [redacted] for interview. Det. Hignite asked her if they could bring [redacted] to the Springdale Police Department tomorrow,” the report states of an interview that occurred on the afternoon of Dec. 12, 2006.
“She said they will bring [redacted] in on Wednesday, December 13th at 1300hrs.”

Aforementioned interview was then rescheduled several times.
Later in the report, above, it details an interaction Jim Bob had with authorities shortly after his wife, 48, spoke to Detective Hignite.
“On Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at approximately 1300hrs Detective D. Hignite received a voicemail from Jim Bob Duggar in reference to the interview with [redacted],” the report says.
“Det. Hignite received a voicemail from Mr. Duggar stating that [redacted] had hired an attorney and will not be coming in for interview on Thursday.”
