December 11, 2011 is a day Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar will never forget.

The duo welcomed 20th child, Jubilee Shalom Duggar, who was born stillborn after passing away days earlier, on Dec. 2, while still in the womb.

On the third anniversary of her daughter’s death, the ‘19 Kids and Counting’ matriarch sat down for an interview with Share Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support, an organization that provides grief counseling and other services to bereaved parents, and opened up about how she honors the child she loved and lost.

“We have a picture of Jubilee on our family’s baby wall, we call it, and she’s a part of that baby parade of all those pictures on the wall,” Michelle gushed.

“Her beautiful face is there to be displayed with all our other babies.”

The 49-year-old turned to religion after losing the baby, and continues to rely on her faith — but the pain of losing a child doesn’t go away. Fortunately, she’s found comfort in everyday reminders of Jubilee, like her picture on the baby wall.

“We adopted the butterfly as the symbol of our little Jubilee so I have a butterfly necklace that I often wear,” she said. “We have a blanket with Jubilee’s name that was given to us by friends and we use it every day, it isn’t hanging on a wall.”

And Michelle isn’t the only one to pay tribute to Jubilee on the emotional anniversary. On Instagram, mom-to-be Jill Duggar shared a touching message to the sibling she lost, which said, “[Three] years ago today Jubilee Shalom Duggar was born safe into the arms of Jesus! You are missed!”

It’s clear the pregnant 23-year-old was deeply affected by the loss. In September, she explained how her sister’s short-lived life affected her decision to announce her pregnancy at just eight weeks.

“Understanding that the majority of miscarriages happen within the first trimester, and believing that every life is precious no matter how young, we decided to share our joyful news as soon as we could,” the trained midwife explained at the time.
