Bon appétit! Jill Duggar has delivered us with yet another controversial recipe on Aug. 15, and this time, many fans are grilling the former Counting On star for her sweet potato fries. Some were suggesting that she should try a different cooking method, while others couldn’t get over how she cut the potatoes into “chunks” and tried to nonchalantly pass them off as fries. Check out the video above to see her “fries.”

“Those don’t look like fries,” one wrote alongside a laughing emoji, while another chimed in: “Those look like roasted sweet potatoes, not fries.” A fan on Reddit even commented, “Those ain’t fries. They’re just ugly cut potato chunks.” On the other hand, some addressed how making sweet potato fries is harder than it seems. “I have never been successful at these when making from scratch,” one person wrote. Jill’s sister, Jessa Duggar, totally had her back, commenting: “Way to go Jilly” with clapping hand and heart eye emojis.

“Super excited about these baked sweet potato fries,” Jill captioned her post. “We didn’t get as many as I’d hoped, but the ones we did get are great!” So, there’s at least a chance her recipe may have tasted better than it looked. Even though a lot of attention was placed on her latest food faux pas, some couldn’t stop chatting about her sparkling nose ring.

The mother-of-two was actually first spotted with the piercing in November 2017. “Girl when did you get a nose ring. It’s so cute!” one wrote. “Well thats something I didnt think I would ever see, Jill with her nose pierced! I thought her to be more conservative then that, looks nice, not judging, just shocked is all,” another commented. Jill clearly keeps fans on the edges of their seats, especially when it comes to her cooking — which we obviously haven’t seen the last of!
